WHERE WE ARE GOINGMay 11-14. 2006 "Getting Started On Riding" Clinic Bring a young horse that you want to get started on riding here to Bowers Farm for this group clinic, and we'll teach you how. Cost is $500/participant, $25/spectator. June 1 - 4, 2006 "Training The Driving Horse" Clinic At Bowers Farm clinic where you bring your horse for four days of driving horse training. We'll show you how to advance your training toward having a good safe driving horse. Cost is $500/participant, $25/spectator. June 30, July 1, 2006 "Horse Progress Days" in Clare, Michigan Steve will be doing two training sessions each day of the event, where he will demonstrate training of the driven horse. We'll also be bringing our bicycle hitches and our teaching materials to sell. By then, we'll have our newest book, "Farming With Horses" available to purchase. Bring the family to a great event in a beautiful part of the country and see lots of high class horse farming techniques and products! July 15 and 16, 2006 "Harnessing, Hitching and Driving" Workshop We use our horses here at Bowers Farm to teach you through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. For those who want a quick overview of harnessing, hitching and driving considerations for singles and teams. Cost is $350/person. August 10 - 13, 2006 "Refining Your Riding Skills" Clinic Bring a horse to Bowers Farm that doesn't know how to lightly turn on the forehand, turn on the haunches, side pass or back up. We'll show you how to get these things working on the ground first, then in the saddle. Cost is $500/participant, $25/spectator. September 14 through 17, '06 Clinic in Ishpeming, Michigan We'll be back to the UP for four days of training the driving horse clinic. September 21 through 24, '06 Certified Horsemanship Association 2006 National Conference at Colorado State University in our home town of Fort Collins Colorado. Steve has been invited to teach about training the driving and draft horse, and also the safety aspects of driving horses at CHA's International Conference. He'll be there on Friday and Saturday, making presentations for both the morning and afternoon programs. If you are in the people hauling business, Steve highly recommends that you take a look at this organization. Steve will be there for the entire convention, and will be doing some teaching each day. March 4, '07 "Training The Driving Horse" Clinic Right after the CONA Convention, stay in the Chicago area for a one day clinic at Dos Arroyos Farm, Kirkland, IL, owned by Don and Enid Shepherd. The plan is for Steve to demostrate his training techniques on a few different horses during the day, while also lecturing and taking questions from the spectators. Live Oak International Driving Event, Ocala, Florida, Steve has been invited to teach a few things about driving training during Pat Parellis presentation at the Live Oak event on Sunday, March 25. This is definitely one of the highlights of the combined driving year, held at Chester Webbers beautiful plantation near Ocala. Well be showing off our four up of bicycles, and demonstrating some of the newest and most amazing techniques for training horses for driving. We hope you can make it to this classy event!
