These are some pictures of Steve riding "Y2K", an imported Shire stallion, at Horse Progress Days 2002, in Illinois. This first ride on Y2K went great, as planned. The remarkable thing about the ride was that it was filmed by a member of the audience who sent it to BBC, and it was broadcast a couple of days later on television in Saudi Arabia! If any of you folks in Saudi Arabia would like to learn more about this gentle yet powerful new way of starting colts, just give Steve a call. These training methods work just as well on Arabians as they do on Shires, and they'll work as well in Saudi Arabia as they do in the United States. These pictures show Y2K being ridden, but the ground work that Steve did on this horse before riding him also went a long way to prepare the horse to be a nice driving horse.
