We sell Double Diamond rope halters in saddle horse and draft horse sizes. This is the halter I really like because it is a diameter and weight that seems perfect to help get your horse responsive instead of pushy (as is so common with flat nylon haltered horses). There is a way of using these halters that you should try to learn about. Although these halters are virtually unbreakable, their real advantage is for making horses responsive, not to accomplish tying up of pull-back horses.

We make up these lead ropes at the farm. The rope is 1/2” yacht rope material that is very heavy and very strong (6500 lb. break strength), much stronger than most log chains! It is smooth on your hands, and has the right kind of “life” that resists wrapping around the trainer’s appendages while training, which I greatly appreciate. The eye for the snap is formed large enough that the snap is actually looped into the rope, not permanently attached to it. This allows for easy snap change, if the original should eventually break, or the snap can be eliminated entirely, for extreme strength. The snap provided is a heavy duty solid brass new-fangled thing called “the horseman’s snap”. Very nice and easy to work.
